Rabat City Tour — Chellah, Oudayas Kasbah & Hassan Tower

Your guide meets you at your hotel for a full day exploring Rabat's most significant landmarks. The first stop is Chellah — a walled necropolis on the southern edge of the city, built by the Merinid dynasty over the ruins of the Roman city of Sala Colonia. Its overgrown gardens, storks nesting on ancient minarets, and crumbling but atmospheric ruins make it one of the most evocative sites in Morocco.

From there, head to the Kasbah of the Oudayas — a 12th-century fortified quarter overlooking the mouth of the Bou Regreg river. Wander its blue-and-white alleyways before visiting the Oudayas Palace, now home to the national museum, and the tranquil Andalusian gardens that surround it. The afternoon takes you to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V — an exquisite example of modern Moroccan craftsmanship housing the tombs of King Mohammed V and his two sons — and the Hassan Tower, the unfinished minaret of a 12th-century mosque that was once planned to be the largest in the world. Today it stands as one of Rabat's most recognizable landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An optional lunch at a local restaurant is available mid-tour before returning to your hotel.
