This 8-day circular tour from Marrakech is Morocco’s most complete loop — a sweeping journey through the country’s greatest imperial cities, most dramatic landscapes, and most iconic cultural landmarks, all in one seamless private experience.
You begin and end in Marrakech, spending the first day with a local guide uncovering the Red City’s legendary highlights — from the Koutoubia Mosque and the Saadian Tombs to the vibrant chaos of Jemaa el-Fnaa at dusk. From there, the road climbs over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, then winds through the Valley of Roses, the Dades Gorges, and the towering walls of the Todra Canyon toward the Sahara.
Two full days in Merzouga give you time to go beyond the postcard — a desert excursion by 4×4, a visit to Gnawa musicians in Khamlia, time with nomadic Berber families, sandboarding on the dunes, and a camel trek at sunset to your luxury desert camp for a night of Berber music and stars.
Heading north, the route passes through the Ziz Valley, the cedar forests of Azrou, and the charming Alpine town of Ifrane before arriving in Fes for a full guided day in the world’s most intact medieval medina. The journey continues to Meknes, the extraordinary Roman ruins of Volubilis, and the magical blue city of Chefchaouen before a final day sweeping through Rabat and Casablanca on the way back to Marrakech.
