TRIP DESCRIPTION

This 15-day journey is the most complete way to experience Morocco — a sweeping circuit from Marrakech through the great south, across the imperial heartland, and down the Atlantic coast before returning to the Red City for a grand finale.

It begins dramatically, crossing the High Atlas Mountains to the pre-Saharan south, where earthen kasbahs rise from the desert floor and the route of a thousand kasbahs winds through valleys separating mountain ranges. The Dades and Todra Gorges offer some of the most spectacular canyon scenery in North Africa before the vast golden dunes of Merzouga appear — a landscape that stops conversation and demands simply to be witnessed.

Heading north, the tone shifts from raw desert beauty to intellectual grandeur. Fes — the religious, artistic, and spiritual capital of Morocco — receives a full day of dedicated exploration, followed by the monumental imperial city of Meknes and the extraordinary Roman ruins of Volubilis. The capital Rabat adds a layer of elegant urban history before the journey turns south along the Atlantic, passing the Portuguese-walled city of El Jadida, the oyster lagoons of Oualidia, and the ancient port of Safi on the way to Essaouira — two full days in this wind-swept, blue-and-white coastal gem that has captivated travelers for centuries.
